|Tuesday April 24th
6:30 PM – Uhry Theater.
Please invite your family (students and parents), neighbors and friends to join us for the last PTSA meeting of the year. New PTSA Officers will be elected and announced. Cross your fingers and toes that we will be using the new projector system for an important presentation on substance abuse.
Dr. Denise Koo, MD, MPH & Carolyn Rader, AICP, Urban and Environmental Planner will moderate a panel presentation by Drug Intelligence Officer, William Trivelpiece and Public Health Analyst, Stephanie Gitukui of the Heroin Response Initiative Office of National Drug Control Policy on the opioid crisis as it relates to adolescents including the Good Samaritan Law. Social Worker, Renee Hall-George, LMSW, will provide resources for family and friends. The panel will also address the important topic of alcohol poisoning including warning signs and ways to help.
We are fortunate to have such a distinguished group present to our community. Though difficult, we will be stronger with more knowledge and conversation. Please plan to join us to end a significant year at Druid Hills High School.
Thank you all!
